Logan Basin catchment

Under the Water Reform and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2014, water resource plans and resource operation plans have been replaced by new planning instruments. Water planning outcomes for the Logan Basin catchment are now provided by the Water Plan (Logan Basin) 2007, Logan Basin Water Management  Protocol, one Resource Operations Licences and associated operations manual.

Once these documents have been prepared in accordance with the transitional provisions in the Act they will be made available below. Read more about the changes to water legislation.

Resource operations plan

The Logan Basin resource operations plan was approved in December 2009.

The Logan resource operations plan amendment to include Wyaralong Dam was approved in December 2012.

The second revision of the Logan resource operations plan to include Christmas Creek and Running Creek water management areas (PDF, 2.0MB) was approved by Governor in Council in March 2014. It was finalised after extensive community consultation following the draft amended plan release in June 2013.

A consultation report (PDF, 595.5KB) is available, which includes an overview of how the issues raised in submissions were dealt with.
