Resources Queensland

To ensure the Queensland resources sector continues to grow and become a global resources leader, we will broaden engagement on the future direction of the sector through two Resources Roundtables.

The Roundtables will enable collaboration between government and resources sector stakeholders to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities. This will ensure a strong and sustainable resources future.

A key outcome will be to prioritise and deliver actions that provide enduring improvements for the resources sector—which will benefit both industry and communities.

The Minister for State Development and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines will Chair the Roundtables.

  • The Resources Ministerial Roundtable will comprise members from companies and peak industry bodies representing the mineral, coal, petroleum gas and exploration sectors, as well as government and department executives.
  • The Resources Community Roundtable will engage with stakeholders from agricultural and environmental groups, local government and peak resource industry bodies—as part of our commitment to continue to engage with communities.

The Resources Roundtables will build on previous industry collaborations to develop a long-term vision and action plan for the resources sector.
