The Valuer-General collects property information in order to determine statutory valuations of rateable parcels of land in Queensland. A range of property data from the valuation roll is made available; this can be purchased through our business centres (see the price list). Maps showing property and unit sales are also available for purchase.
Value-added resellers of property data can obtain bulk extracts from the Queensland Valuation and Sales (QVAS) database, which can include personal information such as names and service addresses of vendors and purchasers, for a fee. For further information please contact Siproductdelivery@dnrm.qld.gov.au (see the price list).
The Valuer-General may suppress ownership details in the valuation roll if there is a risk to a person’s safety or property, whether the person is the landowner or a person living at that address. To apply, complete the Application for suppression direction (Form 63) (PDF, 545.1 KB) and lodge it along with supporting documents at one of our business centres.
To address concerns about the inappropriate use of data for direct marketing purposes, a self-regulated industry Code of Conduct is in place. For further information or if you have any concerns about the misuse of the data, email the Code Oversight Committee.
